Care And Feeding Tips

Looking after a young galah cockatoo bird can be very challenging if it is your first time with a galah as they demand a lot of attention and will want you around them to play most of the time, that is why we advise most of our customers to get a second companion bird to keep them busy while they are away. A neglected galah parrot can develop some bad habits like yelling, biting, feather plucking which is very dangerous for her health.

Make sure your bird sleeps well, position the cage in a dark spot and also the cage size should be about 5 foot square giving the bird enough place to relax.

In the wild, the galah bird feeds on flowers, seeds, nuts and some times insects. As pets, make sure over 40% of their diet should be in pellet form while the rest can be in fruits and vegetables.
